I’ve dreamed of being a writer since we were twelve in boarding school. That was way back in 1981. At Laleham Boarding School, we met our best friends, Taryn and Jake, along with a few other friends. That was a long time ago. Now we’re in our fifties and doing our dream hobby. One day, we’ll get one of our three novels in print.

My novels are aimed at middle-grade to young-adult readers, with realistic-fiction elements and Christian-fiction elements. I’ve lived in Indiana for nineteen years, since arriving here on October 1, 2005. Once we get one of our three finished novels edited and ready for publication, it will be in stores. I’m hopeful I’ll get one of our three finished novels published from 2024 to 2030. We hope to have something available on Amazon.com by 2035.

This is Leo, My Lion. I’ve had Leo since I was quite small. My Grandma Barkaway got him for me when I was only three years old, I believe, I could have been two to four, not sure of the body’s age. I do know we were between two and four. At the time, we got Leo. We named him Leo because he was a lion and because our grandfather was a star sign Leo. I think that was a good enough reason.

A friend got us the Red-Sox outfit for him. We are Red Sox fans, Big time. I took the name Barkaway as my writing name to honour my Dad and grandparents. It’s my name pen name is Ravyn Barkaway. My actual name is Lisa Anne. I know you should never put out your real name on the internet.
