Story – Whispering Shadows

Draco has had many issues at work. He had a few friends to help him fake his death. He knew it would harm his research if he didn’t disappear. Only his wife knew what was going on. She helped him fake his death. His research was more important to his work on finding a serum to cure cancer. He worked as a scientist at a lab a couple of towns over. He knew the risks of faking his death. He took the only way he knew to keep his research going.

He emails his eldest son when Draco is told by his wife that she believes Jett is trying to solve his murder. He had only one choice: to disappear. He lets Jett know that he is still alive. Only Jett doesn’t believe the email came from his father. Jett is so wrapped up in solving his dad’s death. He was the one who began the search into Draco’s death. When people say his dad committed suicide, it sends trigger warnings in Jett’s mind. After months of research, Draco finds that the cure he worked on worked on a monkey. Now he needs a human guinea pig. He has to find his parents to tell them about his findings.

Meanwhile, Jett is hooked on his dad’s murder. He knew he would never commit suicide. They were a religious family. Jett gave up on God as a pre-teen. Now he has to figure out the truth surrounding his dad’s dead corpse.  Until he finds his emails from someone who tells him in the emails that his father is still alive and staged his death due to the work Draco does. Jett has to learn to trust the emails.

Then Jett gets phone calls from his dad. Draco has to make sure he knows his dad is still alive. His mother helped him fake his death for work, as part of research for the cancer study. This makes sure his siblings know their father is still alive.
